One of the least productive uses of your time is
gathering the tools to work with. MasterDATAlink
will allow you to download one datafile, a few datafiles or all 561
of our composite /breadth datafiles with a few mouse clicks.
Better still, a few additional steps will fully automate the process
for you using Windows Scheduled Tasks. If you wish, the
program will notify you when a download has completed and/or inform
you of events related to the MasterDATACSV
composite breadth data. Our objective is to provide you with
a program that downloads our composite breadth datafiles the way
you want them and at the time you want them, with very little, if
any, input from you required beyond the initial set up. When
you are ready to get down to work, the datafiles will be there
waiting for you.
How it Works
With the objective of obtaining the fastest, most
reliable downloads during the trade session, downloading with
MasterDATAlink
is a two step process:
►
Full download: Generally, this update should occur either before or after
the trade session. The entire datafile from start date
through current date is downloaded on every index and ETF.
Time required may be significant, so an automated overnight
download is recommended. This is a built in function
with very little configuration needed, so set up, including
automation, is relatively simple.
►
Update download: The update download is primarily designed for use when
markets are open for trading or within a few hours after the
close. Because the downloaded update file consists of
only a few days of data for each selected index or ETF, the
process is usually very fast. The full datafile
previously downloaded is simply updated with data from these
small files. This download type is highly configurable
in selecting which indexes and ETFs to download, data
periods desired, and, if automated, download time.
Whether you use MasterDATA's composite breadth
datafiles linked to Excel spreadsheets, in MetaStock with our
MasterDATA Composite Plug-in, or
numerous other market analysis programs our objective is to provide
reliable, accurate data in a timely and efficient manner.
